August was a hectic month as we prepared for the August 19 ISR/Oldenburg NA mare and foal inspection. We co-hosted the inspection with Sue Lightner of Lightacres at her great facility in Modesto, CA.
We had a good turnout with 5 mares for approval, 11 foals and two yearlings. Ragtime was well represented with three premium foals. The Inspection Champion Filly was Raggedy Music by RagtimexPia'sadorable/Pikdero with a score of 8.2. Reserve Champion Colt was Ragnificent by RagtimexRapture**/Ritual with a score of 8.3. The Champion colt was Brando by BravoxHonor wth a score of 8.3. Sue Lightner's mare Genoa by Graf Goetz was entered into the Premium Mare Book with a score of 105.

We then headed off to Del Mar to participate in the International Hunter Breeding West Coast Regionals. Reggae and Rhythm of the night represented Ragtime. The day started with the Showpark All Seasons hunter breeding classes. Reggae was again Best Young Horse. Rhythm of the Night was second out of 11 fillies in the two year filly class.
These classes were followed by the International Hunter Futurity West Coast Regionals. Reggae once again beat all the competition, making this 8 out of 8 Best Young Horse awards. Rhythm of the Night was second in the two year old filly class

July was a busy month of showing for our three Ragtime two year olds. We started at the end of June with the Woodside series. Reggae was again Best Young Horse in all three hunter breeding classes which included Golden Gate Classic, Bay Area Summer Show, and Woodside Circuit Opener.He then followed those by winning Best Young Horse at Pebble Beach Equine Festivals.

Rhythm of the Night by Ragtime was second to Reggae in all three shows.

|
R'Mani by Ragtime was also successful in his hunter breeding shows winning Best Young Horse at Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic, and Stoney Ridge Stables Horse Show in Ohio.
Ragtime was to join his offspring in the winners circle by being Champion Regular Working Hunter at the Pebble Beach Equine Festivals.

Upperville Colt & Horse Show
Congratulations, again, to Melissa and Shelia Tatham, owner and breeder of R’Mani at 2006 gelding by Ragtime out of the TB/Dutch mare Lavender. R’Mani was again in the ribbons at Upperville, VA. He placed 4th in the Other than Thoroughbred Colts & Geldings in the Hunter Breeding.

Devon Horse Show
Congratulations to Melissa and Sheila Tatham. R’Mani, their 2006 Ragtime gelding out of the TB/Dutch mare Lavender, placed 4th in the Other than Thoroughbred yearling class.
Golden State Horse Show
Ragtime’s offspring dominated the hunter breeding at Golden State Horse Show. Reggae, a 2005 gelding by Ragtime out of the TB mare Misty View/Star Choice was BEST YOUNG HORSE. Congratulations to Sue Lightner, owner and breeder.

Rocamador, a 2006 gelding by Ragtime out of the TB mare Forever Tango, was not to be out done by his older siblings. He won the Yearling Hunter Breeding Class. Congratulations to owner, Sue Lightner and breeder, Margaret McGovern.

Congratulations to Jen Erale on the purchase of Rococo, a 2006 filly by Ragtime out of the Oldenburg mare Rapture**/Ritual. Rococo was Reserve Champion at her ISR/Oldenburg inspection with a score of 8.2. We look forward to seeing them in the Hunter Breeding Ring this summer.

Our mare Rapture (Hana), received her second ISR/Oldenburg star award. The first star award was for a score of 110 at her Mare Inspection and her second star award was for having three premium award foals. Two of the three foals were by Ragtime.

Showpark All Season Summer Show, owned and bred by Sue Lightner did well at the hunter breeding competitions at Showpark. He is a 2005 gelding by Ragtime out of TB Misty View/Star Choice. He placed 3rd in the Sallie B Wheeler Championship and 4th in the Showpark All Season Hunter Breeding. Congratulations.
